Booth's derringer. It was very small and concealable, and held the equivalent of one .45 caliber bullet (twice the size of the .22 caliber rounds which killed John F. Kennedy). The 1/2" ball was lodged so deeply into Lincoln's brain that there was no hope for his survival.
